Cody Miller of Rime Time Curiously Crafted Pops

Rime Time Curiously Crafted Pops was established with a passion for healthy and local food, a nostalgia for childhood treats, and a desire to collaborate with other food artists around Columbus. Today, we can be found with our ice pop carts around the city's biggest festivals and events. All our ice pops are made with the sweetest produce and best specialty ingredients that can be found to create one curiously crafted pop. From the very first conception until now, we will continue our passion of meticulously creating the most unique pops using the best imagination and ingredients we can find.

My vision for Rime Time is to become one of the premier treat providers in the city of Columbus and eventually Ohio. My personal mission is to create food and desserts that are a part of the events and moments that we make memories of; foods that remind us of something and have a lasting impression.

Te'Lario Watkins of Tiger Mushroom Farms

Tiger Mushroom Farms is a small local mushroom farm in Central Ohio. We cultivate shiitake & oyster (gray & yellow) mushrooms. Our business was started by our 11 yr old son when he was just 7 yrs old after his 1st Cub Scout project ended. He grew catgrass and basil and loved growing so much he wanted to grow more stuff. Then we wondered what we could grow in the winter, and he said mushrooms because mushrooms can grow in the dark. Te’Lario now has a growing business and is an entrepreneur, published author, and Hunger Hero for No Kid Hungry. 

Our Mission is to provide fresh quality locally grown mushrooms and other mushroom products throughout the central Ohio region and beyond. Our Vision is to be one of the premier Mushroom producers in Central Ohio, providing mushrooms and mushroom products across the country.

Sebastien Roy, Consulate General of Canada, visited BeeHex at the EDGE Innovation Hub to discuss international business opportunities, 3D food printing, and the future of food. Anjan Contractor (CEO) and Ben Feltner (COO) of BeeHex toured their labs with the Consulate General and contemplated 3D printing with maple syrup.

A great Friday with Nick Davis and Ben King of Singularity University, followed by a talk with Wil Schulze. 

Nick and Ben, without a doubt, will be partners with the EDGE in creating the future of food, while spreading Singularity University's knowledge throughout our network.

Our neighbor Wil, is building a multi-use office building and tap room in Gahanna. We're glad to have Wil as a neighbor.

Check out Buck Jordan, Kimberly Ng (Wavemaker Labs), and Jim Grote (founder of Donatos Pizza, the Grote Company, and the EDGE Innovation Hub) in front of a “Pepomatic” automated pepperoni applicator. Jim’s invention of the original Pepomatic in 1972 started the Grote Company and a legacy of innovation in food.

We were thrilled to be joined at the EDGE, the Grote Company, and Donatos by Wavemaker Labs, a Los Angeles VC firm, for a discussion on the future of food and partnering to further our food tech missions.

Wavemaker is doing some groundbreaking work in food industry innovation, including Miso Robotics and ChowNow, among many others.
